Bazooka Rocks Fan Party

While my friends and I were enjoying This Century and We are the In Crowd's music, the lights suddenly went off in Araneta and the LED screen lit up with an announcement: the first ever Bazooka Rocks. The line-up was BEYOND promising. The roster included my favorites (The Maine, Forever the Sickest Kids, Mayday Parade) along with a few other bands whose names I've only read on AP (The Wonder Years, A Skylit Drive, Marianas Trench, The Pretty Reckless). I nearly cried when I saw The Maine's greeting then completely lost it when Mayday Parade came up.

I counted the months preceding this day and after all that waiting, I finally got to see my favorite bands again! My morning started with a sprint towards a steel door and accidentally bumping my head. I was literally bleeding while I waited in line for the passes. It was soooo worth it, though! I got to hang out with ~kewl~ people and meet Mayday Parade (YES!) and Forever The Sickest Kids!
Avastera performed two of their singles before I humiliated myself (again) in front of everyone inside the mall. When the host announced that they were giving away tickets for tomorrow's show, I didn't hesitate to volunteer! The mechanics for the giveaway were very easy. All you had to do was answer a few questions about the bands and the show. With a bit of confidence and ample knowledge, I won two tickets!
I seriously ran out of words once Mayday Parade went up on stage. Ever since the announcement last June, I promised my self I'd go on a diet and ask Derek Sanders for a piggy back ride. I didn't eat potato chips and fries for 3 whole months for this moment! The bruises, bumps, and loss of belly fat was totally worth it.
And the band I failed to meet last time because I was at the beach with my family. I got Forever The Sickest Kids to sign my planner after all the badassery I pulled off with my friend, Dennis (hah!) I just hope the band fulfills my request to play Life Of The Party tomorrow!
I first heard of A Skylit Drive from the Punk Goes Pop compilation. I'm actually looking forward to their set because I've been belting out to their rendition of Love The Way You Lie.

I'm just too excited for tomorrow's show! I've had my outfit planned for weeks and I'm totally ready to rock out for 12 solid hours!
