Within The Walls

After much nagging from me and my sister, we finally convinced our parents to take us to Intramuros. I just had to bring my camera and sense of nationalism to Manila’s historic core. Some areas of the Walled City were under rehabilitation and we were a bit pressed by time so, we didn't get to go around as much. As corny as it may sound, I hope this trip to Intramuros will be the first of May-ny (GET IT?) Hopefully, I get to learn more facts next time around!

I'll be honest, I didn't know what most of the infrastructures were. I really hope I get a tour guide next time.
We arrived in Intramuros at such a great time. It was nearing dusk and there weren't much people despite it being Labor Day.
 One word: MATURE.
The baby boy as a Guardia Sibil.
My instagrammer of a mom. Happy Mother's day to all moms!
What do you do when you have a 10-year-old brother who knows the words to Kendrick Lamar's Backstreet Freestyle
I remember one guard passing by in a kalesa saying "mierda" with a smile. Yo se español, hijo.
Damn, Allana. Back at it with the bad focusing.
After hours of walking, we went to Manila Cathedral for mass. The entire church was so picturesque that I swore I'd be wed here. No wonder people do their pre-nup shoots around Intramuros!
My family and I cruised around Manila after the mass and it made me think about how much I want to be able to see Manila progress as it is such a beaut on its own. Some people are skeptical over it, but I believe that the Philippines has so much potential. I'm not one to post my political stance online but I really, really, really hope the Filipino people make the right decision over who's to rule the country for the next 6 years. (Not a registered voter because the line in Alabang during the rush registration was too long. I felt terrible once I left and it felt like I wouldn't be able to contribute to the betterment of our nation. #DamingSinabi)
