My family and I headed to Bacolod to spend the holidays with our relatives. From the city, it would usually take a 3-hour drive to reach San Carlos where my mom's ancestral home is. Honestly, leaving was such a pain but I longed for the city life more than anything! I went back to Manila with a ridiculous amount of Piaya, Bacolod's #1 specialty!
My favorite type of breakfast - McDo Breakfast!
We threw a kiddie party for my youngest cousin! It was just a simple get-together held in our yard. The teens just hung out on the roof deck but the heat was UNBEARABLE so we just had to come back down.
When the world comes crashing down, who's ready to party? ♫ Us, apparently. We weren't spending the "end of the world" indoors so, might as well go out to party! After all, Everybody knows there's a party at the end of the world ♫
And since we made it through the end of the world, it was time for us to throw another party! The major reason why we flew to the City of Smiles was to see my older cousin turn into a lady. This was the first debut in our family so we just couldn't miss it!
Of course, Christmas wouldn't be complete without the compulsory family photo with the matching outfits and all, We were color-coded. The adults in yellow, while the apos were in orange. For New Year, everyone just dressed up in red simply because it was lucky. It was the most simple holiday celebration ever but I was just glad to be blessed with such a loving family. Greeting everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
