My friends and I stayed on the island from April 6 to 10 for Batch Bora. (A check on my Christmas wish list!) It was a week of long walks under the scorching sun, booze (luh), and chillin' by the beach spent with good company. Most of the photos are taken from Sharina Tan, Dana Aquino, and my phone. I got too lazy to lug my camera around. The photos from my film camera are yet to be developed.
We flew from Manila to Kalibo, then took the typical route to Caticlan and Boracay island. (Typical route = 2 hours on the road to Caticlan, then a quick boat ride to Boracay.) We practically saved a whole lot of money on tricycle rides from Fairways and Bluewater by taking advantage of the shuttles the hotel offered. The only downside to this was that we would have to walk all the way from Station 1 to Station 2. I got way darker due to the walking instead of the swimming.
(Hotdogs or legs?) While [some of] my batchmates spent their cash on 15 shots, we decided to splurge on water activities instead. We dedicated an afternoon to Parasailing and Banana Boating which was basically the same price, minus the embarrassment. The budget wasn't much of a problem since the only things we bought were meals and a few drinks. (And by drinks, I mean fruit shakes from Jonah's.)
We passed by a beach wedding en route to Station 1 from Station 2. The funny thing about it was that Chinese tourists were taking photos of the event and the management had to drive them away. ('di din namin alam ba't sya funny pero tawang-tawa kami.) My friends and I lounged in Sur and Residencia 90% of the time.
Most of the time, we'd have dinner with the family then head out for our own thing. Right after going from one station to the other, we'd chill and freeze to death in our respective hotel rooms. #KA14T #14MIG
My Bora crew. (A big thank you to the Garcias and Tans for adopting me throughout the trip) I spent the entire week with this bunch and the events that transpired during our last night was too crazy for words. Epic Boracay was literally epic. 4 nights on the island murdered our body clocks and our sense of time.
And if the photos weren't enough, here's a video of our trip taken with a GoPro Hero 3! (I want my own gaaaah)
